Services I Offer
Counselling and Psychotherapy
I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, informed principally by person-centred philosophy. This means I work from the understanding that the relationship between myself and my client can be a catalyst of change in the therapeutic work we undertake together. I will not usually advise you, or tell you what I think you should do, but rather I will offer you a space to talk through your concerns and find your own meanings for your experiences. It is my belief that you are the expert on yourself; I endeavour to be alongside you in our work together.
I offer counselling and psychotherapy online, usually using Zoom video software. Sessions typically last for one hour and take place weekly, however I am happy to discuss other options to meet your individual needs. I have significant experience working with people who have had previous experiences of harm in therapy. for more information about this work please click here.
My fees are £60 per hour for new therapy clients, and I offer a limited number of reduced-fee sessions for people on low incomes.
One-off Consultations
People who have been harmed in therapy sometimes require a single session, or short number of sessions to discuss their experiences, learn more about harm in therapy, and talk through their options. I am sometimes able to offer single or short-term arrangements (up to three sessions) to share information and offer referrals. I can sometimes offer this even when I do not have availability for ongoing therapeutic work. Please get in contact if you feel this might be useful for you.
Supervision and Professional Consultation
I approach supervision from the perspective that the supervisory relationship is collegial and egalitarian. In practice, this means that we would endeavour to co-create a space where we can explore your practice, and support your professional development, with mutual respect and curiosity, as well as attention to power. I have particular experience supporting therapists who are interested in working with rupture/repair; navigating harm; and working with clients who have previously experienced harm in therapy. I am autistic, and I have significant experience working at the intersection of autism, attachment, and transference/countertransference dynamics in therapy.
Additionally, I offer one-off or short term consultation arrangements for therapists wishing to explore their work around harm in therapy and/or neurodivergence.
My fees for supervision and professional consultation are currently £65 p/h.
